About eBay:
“With more than 124 million active users globally, eBay is one of the world’s largest online marketplaces, where practically anyone can buy and sell practically anything. Founded in 1995, eBay connects a diverse and passionate community of individual buyers and sellers, as well as small businesses. Their collective impact on eCommerce is staggering, and more than 500 million items are listed on eBay.”

Important Notes about eBay

  • Fillz is only integrated with eBay.COM.  Full support for International eBay accounts is not offered. Sellers who list on eBay.co.uk through Fillz, for example, will appear as if they are selling from the US by default. You can change this in Fillz by clicking on Account -> Inventory Settings in the account menu and by changing the drop down under the header “Export” to the correct country.
  • The minimum price an item can be listed for is $0.99
  • “Used Ex-library books” can not have a condition higher than “Good”.
  • If an item you list is in eBay’s catalog, item-specific data from the eBay catalog will appear at the top of the item. This is called “item-specifics” and “listing catalog items” on eBay. Your information for the listing will be displayed below this data.

Fillz-specific Notes
  • Fillz supports Fixed Price offers
  • Like other third party systems, Fillz connects to eBay through a token. The token must be renewed every 15 months (you will receive an email reminder). For help renewing a token, click here.
  • To offer free shipping for a category, set your shipping rates to 0 on the eBay Settings page in Fillz. Note that free shipping is only available for domestic shipments.
  • Items cannot be placed in Store Categories that have 2nd level categories inside. If you need a “catch-all” for such items, create an “Other” sub-category. For example if you have Books:Non-Fiction:Art and Books:Non-Fiction:Games, consider having a Books:Non-Fiction:Other category.
  • Information in an item's “Additional UIEE” will not be sent to eBay. You can add pertinent information to the Item Notes field of your listings.
  • You can override a title if the default title isn’t correct on the Create Item page.
  • Ebay Glossary of Terms
  • The Fillz shipping settings for additional items only applies when there is quantity greater than 1 for the *same* item (combined shipping is not supported).
  • Fillz cannot edit a listings that it did not create on eBay. Items listed through other tools do not interact in any way with Fillz. This means that items may be duplicated if they are listed through Fillz and through another tool.
  • Image URL’s are sent when a listing is created in Fillz, or when an Update All is performed.

eBay Store Categories

Click here for detailed information about configuring categories for eBay.

Global Categories

eBay automatically places items matched to their catalog into the appropriate category. If your item does not exist in their catalog, Fillz will send the category number you provide. Should you not provide one, a default will be used based on the item type.

Fillz can set global categories when items are added (created) on eBay. You will not be able to update the global category of an item that has already been listed by Fillz on eBay. You will need to close the listing (make sure that the listing has ended on eBay) and reactivate it for Fillz to send the updated category. Please note that this is only available for items that do not exist in eBay’s catalog.

To find a category number on eBay, go to http://www.ebay.com/sch/allcategories/all-categories and find the category you’re looking for. The category number will be in the URL at the top of your browser page.

Example: You need the category number for Fiction Books. Go to http://www.ebay.com/sch/allcategories/all-categories, then find and click on “Fiction & Literature” under “Books”. The URL at the top of your internet browser is:
The category number is 171228
