A: If you will be using Excel to open the file, we recommend that you open the file a specific way. For help exporting files from Fillz, click on the links below. When downloading a file from Fillz, click to Save the file, do not click to Open the file. After saving the file to your computer you can follow the steps below to properly open the file with Excel.

Opening an Export File
By default, Excel drops preceding zeroes from numerical sequences. If your Fillz inventory contains ISBNs, UPCs, SKUs or other data that may begin with a 0 you need to be sure to open your export file with the following method to avoid issues. You should also apply this to the open-date field:
  1. Open Excel.
  2. Click File.
  3. Click Open.
  4. Locate the file you downloaded from Fillz and click Open.
  5. Select Delimited then click Next.
  6. Check the box beside Tab then click Next.
  7. Click on the header of a row that contains 0 for the first digit, or for dates.
  8. Check the box beside Text.
  9. Repeat as necessary.
  10. Click Finish.

If this was done correctly, you will be able to view your file and see the 0’s a the beginning of the fields that should contain them.

Sorting in Excel

Most files that can be exported out of Fillz can be edited using Excel. You may find that you need to sort the data in Excel before you edit it. Here’s how:

  • Click on the gray box between 1 and A at the top left corner. This will highlight all of the cells on the screen so you can sort by a field and not have your listings mixed up.
  • Next, click on “Data” then “Sort”, and then choose the column you would like to sort by. You can also choose whether you would like the data to be arranged in ascending or descending order.
  • Once you’ve made your selections, click “OK” and to see the results.
A: You can export a copy of your Fillz inventory that contains market specific prices for one marketplace. If you require market specific prices for multiple marketplaces, you will need to perform several exports.

You can export a copy of your inventory from the Inventory->Export items page of your Fillz account.
